2026-27 Community Grants Round 1

Welcome to the 2026/27 Community Grants Application Form

Before you begin, please read the Community Grants Guidelines to make sure your organisation and project meet the eligibility requirements.

 

The application may take around 2 hours to complete, but you can finish it much faster if you prepare your answers and documents beforehand - download a preview of the form (link above).

It is helpful to have the following ready:

  • Community Grants Guidelines
  • Certificate of Incorporation or other evidence of legal structure/status
  • ABN details (and GST registration status)
  • Public Liability Insurance Certificate of Currency ($20 million minimum)
  • Latest Audited Financial Statement or Balance Sheet submitted to the Office of Fair Trading
  • Bank statement header showing:
    • Name the Account is in, BSB, Account number, and
    • date (within the last 3 months)
  • Letter of approval from your management committee/board authorising the application
  • Your project plan
  • Two (2) quotes for each budget item
  • Supporting Evidence (if applicable)
    • Landowner consent
    • Evidence of required planning or building approvals
    • Fraser Coast Regional Council Event Application Number

 

Uploading Documents

Supporting documents must be uploaded within the application.

Please note:

  • Files must be saved to your device before uploading.
  • Allow each file to finish uploading before adding another.
  • Maximum file size is 25MB per file.
  • Files under 5MB are recommended where possible.

 

Completing Your Application

You can complete the application at your own pace.

  • Use the Form Navigation Panel to move between sections.
  • Select Next Page or Previous Page to move through the application.
  • Save your progress regularly.

 

Working as a Team

Multiple people may contribute to an application using the same SmartyGrants account.

To avoid losing information:

  • Only one person should edit the application at a time.
  • Save regularly while making changes.

 

Helpful Tip

Most internet browsers include built-in spell check. Take a few minutes to review your application for spelling, grammar and clarity before submitting.

 

Need More Time?

To continue later:

  • Select Save and Close, then Log out of SmartyGrants
  • Log back in and open My Submissions to access your saved draft

You can also download a PDF copy of your application at any time. This can be useful if someone else is reviewing your application before submission.

 

Review and Submit

Before submitting, complete the Review and Submit step.

Your application can only be submitted when:

  • All mandatory questions have been answered
  • Any validation errors have been resolved

  • Why it is needed
  • Who will benefit
  • How you will deliver it
