2026 Community Group or Organisation Award

To be eligible for the Community Group or Organisation of the Year award, the nominee must:

• Be a local community group or organisation based within the Fraser Coast Regional Council area or alternatively, where this is not the case, the nomination must demonstrate that a significant contribution has been made by the nominee to the Fraser Coast Regional Council community and that they are considered to be part of the community.
• Not have received the Community Group or Organisation of the Year award in the last five years.
• Not be a commercial or "for profit" group or organisation.

The Community Group or Organisation of the Year will be awarded to the nominee who demonstrates:

• The social, cultural and/or economic benefits of the community group or organisation has brought or will bring to individuals, community organisations or the community in general.
• Significant volunteer involvement.
• Excellence in their field or previous awards or recognition received.
• Bringing recognition or credit to the community or region.
• Building community partnerships.
• Activities which result in the short and long term benefits for the community as well as promoting welfare and wellbeing.
